VI-VIN SAKSIDA

The farm is located in the village of Zalošče in the heart of the Vipava Valley. The excellent positions and well-maintained vineyards are their greatest treasure and the basis for the production of good wines. The vineyards extend over the slopes above the Vipava River. The soil consists of flysch; the locals call the interchanging layers of marl and sandstone "soudan". It is the best type of ground for viticulture. The winegrowing tradition of the Saksida family reaches far back into the past. The first condition for high quality is to reduce burden on the vine. This quality starts in the vineyard and gains its proper form in the cellar. Cellaring according to the traditional procedures with modern technological methods enables the production of rich wines which are typical of varieties and tell their story.
