Work at Lisjak Homestead takes place in three cellars. The first one was built by Boris's father 55 years ago. This is where wine is bottled, racked and stored today. With their expansion, a need for a new cellar appeared, so Boris built a vaulted stone cellar three decades ago, where wine is matured in large wooden barrels. In 1990 it was awarded the title of the most beautiful Slovenian cellar. However, the heart of the homestead is Boris's grandfather cellar from 1887, which was renovated in 2012. This is where archive wines are stored.
