Rebula is the most important variety in the Ferdinand winery We love it and it features in
every line of wine we produce – fresh wine (Classic Rebula), matured in oak barrels (Epoca), macerated Rebula (Brutus) and sparkling wine Sinefinis.It is deep gold, hint of orange.
Colour is straw yellow. Aroma of Rumena rebula is gentle citrus with apple aromas.
Hand picked grapes are crushed under low pressure. The must is cooled to 10°C. After settling for 24-hours, clear must is racked into stainless steel tanks for fermentation into wine. Fermentation is quickly followed by decanting to preserve the fruitiness of the wine, causing no biological deacidification. Wine is bottled in the summer of the year after harvest.

The base wines of T2016 come exclusively from the heart of the cuvée and give pride of place to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. T2016 ages 5 years and 9 months in cellars, then rests 12 months after disgorging before finally reaching your tables.The delicate chiseled nose opens with aromas of spoon biscuit, grapefruit, orange peel and almond.In the mouth, the effervescence immediately melts into the body of the wine. We then perceive a more exotic character in retro-olfaction, with passion fruit, pineapple and lime.It is at this precise moment that the physical presence of the wine takes over, carried by its crisp acidity which dissipates with shale minerality and aromas of honey and brioche with candied fruit.
