By respecting the soil and traditional winegrowing methods, as well as by including modern technology, they are one of the first producers of Port. In July 2011 Quinta do Tedo became certified organic cellar. Their one-hundred-percent ecological grapes come from "A" class vineyards, comparable to the French grand cru.
