Diplomático Single Vintage is the product of a careful selection of rum reserves that have evolved exceptionally. After twelve years of aging in bourbon and malt whisky casks, this rum is placed in Oloroso sherry barrels to provide the perfect finish. Its rich aromatic profile includes notes of vanilla, spices and almonds. It is silky and incredibly flavorsome on the palate with a taste of tobacco, oak and caramel.

The long tradition and skills of generations of masters have created a very complex rum with a rich taste. The minimum age of rum in the mixture is 7 years. The taste is genuinely Cuban, manifested through the aroma of Cuban tobacco with the rich and sweet fruits of the Cuban garden, through the spices and aroma of vanilla.In the late 1960s, Maestros del Ron Cubano introduced a pioneering continuous aging process. Part of each mixture is returned to the barrel and continues to age in the next mixture, thus keeping the spirit of Havana 7 alive. This creates a real complexity of Cuban flavors that turn drinking this prestigious rum into pure pleasure.

Deep, ruby colour with tinges of garnet showing bit of development. Intense on the nose, still quite youthful regardless of age. It shows plenty of ripe dark red and black fruits, nicely knit with scents of maturation in high quality oak barrels. Black cherry, sour cherry, vanilla, a hint of spicy black pepper as well as smoke. With time gentle floral sensations such as violets are coming through. All this is nicely interlaced in joint, very inviting, high quality aromatic sensation. Quite vibrant.Dry on the palate, full bodied. With grippy tannins, plenty of structure with an aim to bring the wine in the second decade of its life in the best vintages this can be extended even to third or fourth decade. Acidities are ripe, quite high. With a rich, intense, complex aroma on the palate which s lasting. With long aertaste full of fruits and sweet spices like cloves and nutmeg.

A variety which shows what a region is capable of – a litmus test, a reference point. In our vineyards, it nicely reveals the influence of the Mediterranean and the Alps and offers some exotics, enough body as well as classic continental freshness. It offers the nose some buttery, mineral notes and finely integrated spices from maturation in wood. The mouth feel is full, firm, massive and at the same time balanced with a firm structure. It has an ageing potential of up to ten years. Some vintages from the end of 1990s are at their best at the moment.

Pošip , Pošip bijeli, Pošipak and Pošipica are all local names for this indigenous white grape variety from the island of Korčula. It can also be found on the islands of Lastovo and Mljet, but can be grown all over Dalmatia. Pošip thrives on sandy soils, protected from wind, and gives large clusters that produce a high-quality, delicious wine. The golden yellow wine is dry, offering a strong aroma of dried apricots and figs. Pošip wines have a distinct fragrance and high acidity levels, and they make great wines for storing and ageing.
