The Jakončič family lives and works in the village of Vipolže in Brda. Their brand Piro is named after their great-grandfather Peter, who was called Piro in the Friulian dialect. He bought the land in 1932 and planted the first grapevine. They produce aged wines named Bosc, which is Friulian for ‘woods’. The Jakončič family has received numerous awards for their efforts, among others the title of the world champion for chardonnay.

It is a deep purple color. The flower is distinctive, noble, with black currants, coffee beans, ripening in the wood, with an abundance of ripe black fruits, reminiscent of very good young Bordeaux. A firm and full wine.
