It requires light, airy, well-drained soil in the best sites and the most meticulous approach from the winegrower.In view of this, Verus decided to include the Pinot Noir as the only red variety in their palette of wines. Verus first planted it in 2009 in Ivanjkovci and then in Jeruzalem in 2012.Verus’ first Pinot Noir is from 2011. Despite the young age of the vineyard, due to the low crop weight per vine and a good autumn, Verus were able to produce a beautiful ruby red wine with a bouquet reminiscent of raspberries, strawberries, cherries and redcurrant, followed by a full-bodied and mature flavour showing nuances of all these fruits.

Primitivo is a dark-skinned grape known for producing inky, tannic wines, particularly Primitivo di Manduria and its naturally sweet Dolce Naturale variant. Although there have been contentious and long-running debates about the variety's geographical origins, there is little question that Primitivo's modern-day home is in southern Italy, particularly Puglia. A classic Primitivo wine is high in both alcohol and tannins, intensely flavored and deeply colored.This variety owes its name to its early ripening; Primitivo comes from the Latin “primativus” and Old Italian “primaticcio” (both meaning “first to ripen” or “early ripening”).
Only the Vermentino grape variety is used in the production of this wine. The harvest usually take place at the end of August, by hand. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats under controlled temperatures with cold-maceration lasting 18 hours, followed by gentle pressing.“Vermentino” is golden yellow in colour with slight greenish hues and a fine appearance. This is a well-structured wine with a long, typical nose with tones of exotic fruit.It is an ideal accompaniment for seafood, white meat dishes or aperitif.Suggested 12° C.
