Strong aromatic intensity. Beaune is the capital of the wine-producing region of Burgundy as well as the most extensive communal AOC appellation in the Côte d’Or. The production of red wines covers an area of 368.74 ha including 281.49 ha of Premiers Crus. Most of the vineyards are located on pronounced slopes. Soil: limestone mixed with clays.Exposure of the vineyard: from East to South.A dark garnet color.An intense nose marked by a grilled reduction and smoky notes. The vineyards of Pernand-Vergelesses are in a very hilly area, stretching over the slopes between Aloxe-Corton and Savigny-lès-Beaune. Pernand-Vergelesses has only six Premier Crus : “Les Fichots”, “En Caradeux”, “Creux de la Net”, “Ile des Vergelesses”, “Les Vergelesses” and “Les Plantes des Champs et Combottes”. This village is located at an altitude of between 250 to 350 m.Beautiful garnet colour. Aromatic, with sophisticated notes of spice. Some extracts of red fruit such as blackcurrant or cherry on floral notes of violet. On the palate, the attack is fresh and mineral with aromas of a well-balanced fruit. The wine is vibrant.
