At the Makovec family estate it’s not just about making wine, it’s about the way the whole family lives. The vineyards are located in the central part of the Vipava Valley, where the mild Mediterranean climate from the Karst Plateau and the harsher continental climate meet. The wine reflects the intertwining of tradition and newer approaches. The way it is processed, the sunny position and the modest marl soil make their wines unique.
