Poggio di Guardia
The land of Poggio di Guardia had not been cultivated since 1958, when the new vineyards were planted. The ground had rested for over 40 years and a tiny strata of treasured organic matter had been allowed to accumulate. The first parcel of 1.1 hectares was planted in 2006, which was done without working or fertilising the soil, taking great care to preserve the organic equilibrium nature had created. The remaining vines were planted in 2007 and 2008, while continuing to honour the natural fertility that came from the soil’s long agricultural dormancy. Their mission is to create an exclusive winery with limited production, where the land is allowed to speak through wine.

Ruby red in colour with purple highlights. Very complex aromatic profile: herbs, mint,leather, plum, coffe, chocolate. Minutes by minutes change in the glass the aroma.Incredible level of elegance, and grain tannins that are very velvety and express. Generalbalance it's really nice with good acidity and vibrancy with a nice sweet end sensation.
