Karol and his sons Marijan and Igor cultivate 50 hectares of vineyards. The family continues the tradition which was set in the 19th century by Anton Simčič. At first, he sold the wine to the nearby taverns, but after the construction of the railroad he supplied his wine all the way to Trieste and Vienna. Their great cellar on Hum enables modern cellaring, which is based on family and local tradition. Extreme conditions such as the steep terrain, little rain in the summer, the microclimate and soil composition give the grapes a special quality. The wine is therefore rich in minerals, which gives it a unique taste.
