Golden yellow colour and rather dense in the glass. The smell is intensive and especially fruity with a scent of a ripe peach and freshness of an apple. It is buttery and fresh. In mouth it is nicely creamy at first and then fruity flavours come out, complemented with crunchy minerality and freshness. Aftertaste is long and pleasant.

The wine is fresh, harmonious and of full taste.Sauvignon was introduced at the beginning of the 19th century and, in recent years, is justifiably becoming the leading variety in this region. Thanks to the sunny days and cold autumn nights, the conditions here are ideal.For a good Sauvignon, it is important to have steady growth, thorough pruning, good lighting and aeration of the canopy. A healthy grape, a well-chosen harvest time and precise work in the cellar ensure the good expression of the variety’s qualities.Verus Sauvignon comes from several vineyards, both old and young, on eastern, southern and western facing terrains. Therefore, by carefully selecting the time of harvest for each individual vineyard in each vintage, we can achieve the desired style of wine: the maximum intensity of the bouquet, an aroma of elderflowers, gooseberries, tropical fruit, nettles, capsicum, blackcurrant or cut grass. The wine is fresh, balanced and has a full-bodied flavour.

Vitovska grganja is an indigenous variety of grapes from the Karst. The wine produced from it is a fresh white with a peculiar taste and scent of wild berries and a bouquet of wild flowers. Maceration lasts one day, while fermentation takes place in wooden barrels for another year.

“Blanc de Blancs” is a nod to the origins of our winemaker. In his native Champagne, this denomination is used for wines that are elaborated exclusively from chardonnay.This noble variety is also a sponge of the terroir, and our cuvée is the perfect example of this. All grapes come exclusively from our Pesce lot, where our chardonnays grow on flysch. This sedimentary rock (it consists of alternating sandstone and calcium-rich marl) is very crumbly and therefore suitable for Chardonnay’s deep roots exploration. This gives our Chardonnay a unique force and style, which expresses itself gradually during the 40 months it spends on lees in our cellar.TASTING NOTESHawthorn, citrus, and ripe pineapple dominate the first nose. As the wine warms up in the glass, this chardonnay subtly develops its fullness and complexity. In the mouth, the wine opens on Viennese pastries and slightly toasted milk toffee and finishes on jelly quince. The finish is rich, vinous, and precise.
