In 1984, Miran Korenika and his business partner Ignac Moškon decided to revive the winemaking tradition that was interrupted during the communist regime. Korenika & Moškon is a family-owned winery located in Korte, a village in the heart of Slovenian Istria. The property covers 25 hectares of vineyards and 2.5 hectares of olive groves. The winery is both organic and biodynamic certified. In 2014, it gained the prestigious Demeter certification. Today, the family tradition is carried on with the love for the land, devotion, passion and modern approaches of the younger generation.
The bouquet is mature, moderately emphasised, of pleasant smell. It is reminiscent of lavender, hay, honey, juicy yellow fruit. It is dry in the mouth, the texture is lovely and buttery, its body ranges from mid to strong. A wine with character.
The wine is a deeper amber color. The bouquet is intense, smelling of pine resin, dried apricots, earth and grated apples. Dry wine, salty, lower acid and oily texture. Stronger, intense taste and even longer aftertaste. The taste in the mouth is very varied and persistent. Extreme Malvasia, grown on "orange", and very well.Extremely rich, complex, sophisticated and elegant wine, with excellent aging potential of at least 10 years.
The color is deep ruby. The bouquet indicates a fully matured wine and is reminiscent of undergrowth, earth, vanilla, caramel. Dry, strong wine, tannins are completely softened, acids are still present. Very good and rich refošk.The wine already shows its rich aroma and elegance. By maturing in the bottle, however, it will only gain in softness and elegance over time. Therefore, properly fed, it can be left to age for up to fifteen years.
