Šturm

In the region of Bela Krajina, near Metlika, by the Church of St. Anne, the Šturm family produces a wide array of various wines – white, red and rosé, young and mature, dry and sweet, still and sparkling, for everyday indulgences and for most ceremonious moments. The Šturms have been pushing the boundaries from the very beginning. Today, they cultivate eight hectares of their own and leased vineyards.

Akord is an interesting sort, made of three white varieties - Traminer, Yellow Muscat and the local Kraljevina. Intense aroma, mature. At first it reminds us of a horsetail and the forest undergrowth. It does not act completely dry in the mouth, the tannins can be sensed. The aftertaste is long and surprisingly fruity.

The wine is opaque purple with a medium accentuated but variegated and youthful bouquet. The scent of red berries is intertwined with pleasant notes of spiciness. In the mouth we feel the delicate texture, juicy fruitiness of reddish forest fruits and light notes of black pepper, which express the varietal characteristic. It is dry, medium to full body, with lively but balanced acids, nice freshness and lower tannin content. A wine with a pleasant softness and a medium-long setting. Extremely drinkable wine.

The wine is a delicate lemon-yellow color with a discreet and sophisticated bouquet that smells of apples and lemons, accompanied by a mineral note of marl soil. The wine is dry in the mouth with nicely balanced acids and a hint of oily texture. Very good, ascetic version of the variety, which is not among the most common in Slovenia.There is a gentle touch of wood, which is expressed in the fullness and roundness of the taste.
