This wine is a blend made from three vineyards within the appellation of Morgon : Côte du Py, Bellevue and Roche Noire. They are planted on pink granite or on diorite: the blue rock landmark of Côte du Py. The depth and alteration of these soils vary from one vineyard to another.
The wines are aged for 10 months in concrete tank and in oak barrels, in our historic cellar ; new oak, one, two and three vintages old barrels. The oak used to make the barrels comes from the forests of Allier, Limousin and Nivernais.
The wine needs two or three years to reach its harmony, and can then age comfortably for several decades.

Medium deep ruby colors with shades of purple. The bouquet is calm, predicts beautiful maturity. We find dark red fruits, black cherries, cherries, notes of ripening in the wood in the direction of coffee. Dry in mouth, moderate tannins. Fruity.

Epoca is red wine of intense ruby red colour. Its scent is complex and clear, aromas of ripe berries, plum marmalade and a touch of vanilla prevail.Grapes are hand picked, de stemmed and left to macerate for 2-3 weeks. The fermented wine is decanted into 225 litre oak barrels where biological deacidification is performed, giving the wine a certain softness and elegance. The wine matures in barrels for at least 18 months.

Ruby with brick-red edge. An intense scent, reminiscent of ripe forest fruits, black currant, liquorice, plum jam, kirsch-soaked cherries, undergrowth, leather and a sophisticated note of wood. Deep, smooth and rich. The fruitiness of the ripe sour cherry complements the mineral character and the sweetness of ripe tannins. The nice long aftertaste with a hint of wood adds to the wine's sophistication.
