France

The first and foremost wine country on the planet. They were the first to truly set about winemaking with study and thought.

BORDEAUX WINES – Bordeaux is a French province located on the Atlantic coast. It is the most prestigious wine region in the world, as this is where the best and most famous wines are produced. They are mostly blends of red varieties, such as cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot and petit verdot – the “Bordeaux type of wine” denotes such blends. Most of these wines in our country are based on merlot.

CHAMPAGNE was invented in the Champagne province. Only sparkling wines from this region that have been produced solely by the traditional method or ‘méthode champenoise’ can be called champagne. Champagnes are so singular due to the unique soil (mostly chalk), unique varietal composition (pinot noir, chardonnay and pinot meunier) and several years of ageing, which adds a special typicality to these wines.
