A deviation from classic style of fresh Sauvignons, primary aromas are of secondary importance. In our house, we see it as concrete, complex wine; the character of Sauvignon Blanc is less expressed although it is clear and recognizable. It shows its best after a few years, when it gains complexity. Sauvignon Blanc that grows in the Goriška Brda soil is often concentrated, which allows freedom in shaping its structure and body.
Rather than grassy notes, we perceive apricots and white peaches, also some smoky notes, which are a result of oak ageing. On the palate, it offers even more character than on the nose.
The colour is medium deep golden. Slightly closed on the nose at first but then opens and gets opulent. This is not a Sauvignon Blanc in style of various primary tropical fruits, but rather in a riper, fuller style with a restrained, but complex aromatic profile. Gooseberries, peaches, wet stone, buer.
Dry on the palate, intense, full bodied with a good amount of ripe acidities. Oily texture with in intense and persistent flavour. A savoury Sauvignon Blanc which requires a well-chosen main dish. Can this one be compared with world classics? Hardly. Maybe it is close to Fumé Blanc from Napa but in fact it is in a style of its own, faithful Sauvignon Blanc from Brda. Edi’s!

A variety which shows what a region is capable of – a litmus test, a reference point. In our vineyards, it nicely reveals the influence of the Mediterranean and the Alps and offers some exotics, enough body as well as classic continental freshness. It offers the nose some buttery, mineral notes and finely integrated spices from maturation in wood. The mouth feel is full, firm, massive and at the same time balanced with a firm structure. It has an ageing potential of up to ten years. Some vintages from the end of 1990s are at their best at the moment.

Pinot gris has a golden yellow colour that indicates the ful-body wine with complex aroma and long finish. The aroma is rich and elegant, reminds us of candied yellow fruits, mature tropical fruits and sweet spices. Intense, fruity wine, with balanced acids and varietal characteristic.Serve chilled at 10-12 ˚C. We recommend it with seafood, turkey, veal or beef steak, grilled squid, Greek salad, and fish carpaccio.

Duet is a type of wine that offers something to drink and something to please at the same time. Even though it is not too demanding, it is serious enough. It is capable both of fruity and piquant notes. It reminds us of blackberries, red cherries and a bit of pepper.Maturation: 24-30 months; matured in barriques, a third of which are new. Duet is a very good wine of high quality. It can be offered as a wine by the glass in restaurants and barsof higher and higher rank.The color is deeper ruby, still youthful. The bouquet is quite accentuated youthful, with a hint of ripening notes. Fruity notes of fully ripe fresh red fruits such as cherry, sour cherry, even blackberry and blueberry predominate with a gentle touch of ripening, which can be reminiscent of forest undergrowth. Despite its maturity, the bouquet gives a feeling of freshness and liveliness.The mouth is dry, medium to strong body. There is a moderate amount of tannins, they are still young, maybe a little astringent at the end, but with a nice grip and good potential for maturation. The acids are medium high, earlier on the higher than on the lower side and give the wine a significant verticality. The taste in the mouth is quite rich, varied, fruity charge and freshness go hand in hand. The wine ends in a longer, beautiful clear aftertaste.
