Here we have the first release in a new experimental series, a Colombian molasses rum from the wonderful La Hechicera with a somewhat unusual maturation. Serie Experimental No.1 rested in American white oak barrels for the majority of its ageing, with a finishing period in casks which previously held Muscat wine.

A wine to make the heart sing.Delicate and attractive red-fruit perfumes are supported by cocoa butter notes. Concentrated dark fruit is more muscular than is typical for a classic wine from Margaux and shows rich coffee flavours. Fresh acidity really lifts the fruit and the plentiful fine tannins have a velvety grip. Alcohol is a touch warming and the finish is nicely balanced and lasts beautifully.
