The color of the Mscato d’Asti Damilano is bright yellow gold and the resulting scent is Aromatic, with scents of peach, sage, lemon, honey and apricot.The absolute and lasting flavor at the palate sweet, sour, with pleasant and persistent aroma reminds to the grape juice.

Deep ruby colour with no garnet tinges. It combines the colour shade of two years younger Duet, and depth of Duet Lex. It gives a very young impression for its age. Careless taster might well be surprised by its nose. Kolos used to be big, bold and very ripe, but from vintage 2015, “less is more” slogan would describe it more accurately. Itis still very intense on the nose, though, unsurprisingly, a bit less compared to Duet Lex. Opulence, aromatic diversity and complexity are the keys here. Though fullyripe, freshness is still very much present as well as open fruitiness. Dry, with ripe, grippy, noble tannins and firm structure, which will allow for a slow and dependable maturation.The taste on the palate is layered, complex and acts like a well-played orchestra. Its aroma intensity, which is not a result of over ripeness or too much of new oak, full bodywhich is perfectly in line with ripe and refreshing acidities, supple tannins - all these are providing elegance and drinkability. So much important atributes for a classic wine lover who to enjoy his wine with food and is immune to critics scores.From vintage 2015 on Kolos is much more elegant and subdued wine very much like refined, completed edition of already sophisticated Duet Lex. Kolos is now colossal by many parameters. Muscles, full body and over ripeness are not among them. Kolos is a wine produced to be lay-down in a cellar. The patience will be well-rewarded. Nevertheless, Kolos is (almost) ready when released.

It shows a great range of well-defined aromas of ripe red fruit, with hints of dried violets, red pepper, thyme and graphite. On the palate, it is vigorous, extraordinarily expressive and rounded, with great fruitiness and long finish.

It has a distinctive fruity character, light tannin and a slightly higher acidity and alcohol. It requires a perfect, sunny position and a small yield per vine - the only way to produce a real Barbera with its aromas of sour cherries, currants and berries. The taste is fresh, lively and rich with light prune and jam notes. Due to its light tannins and pronounced fruitiness it is delicious even if aged for only a short time in stainless steel.Barbera originates in Italy’s Piedmont, and arrived in Vipava in the 1960s and quickly became a ‘Vipava specialty”.
