Intense ruby red with shades tending towards purple. The aromas are typical of black cherry, blueberry and blackcurrant. Youthful bouquet with sensations of Mediterranean scrub and a hint of sweet spices such as cinnamon and vanilla. Intense, full-bodied, fruity on the palate, with a prevalence of raspberries and red berries, the tannins are silky and elegant, the persistence is long and complex.

The Clos de l’Oratoire des Papes is made from a 27-hectares vineyard that boasts a perfect balance between Chateauneuf-du-Pape’s three great soil types: the "Galets Roulés" or rounded pebbles, "Safres" or fine sand and "Eclats Calcaires" (limestone rock). In 1926 the vineyard becomes the Clos de l'Oratoire des Papes and gains a label design that has remained unchanged ever since.Impressive fruit power and weight. This wine has an array of dark berry and ripe raspberry fruits in an energetic, fleshy and evenly structured style.
