The wheat used in the creation of Grey Goose vodka is grown in Picardy, France. Distilled in the same region, north and east of Paris, the distillate is then sent to Cognac, France, where it is blended with spring water and bottled. The wheat used in Grey Goose is soft winter wheat, sown in October and harvested in August, which provides it with four additional months of growth in comparison to summer wheat. The wheat sold to Grey Goose is categorized as "superior bread-making wheat", and wheat that is soft.

The water comes from the deep wells in Åhus, where it is perfectly protected from all impurities. Winter wheat, on the other hand, differs from other cereals in that it is sown and harvested in the fall. It therefore grows in winter under deep Swedish snow, which develops its hard grains, and the use of fertilizers is also reduced.

Dark and compact living and glowing ruby color with garnet reflection, but at some impressive consistency. On the nose it opens gradually, plenty of spicy tone. Noble, nicely developed, typical of the deep and warm lasting aroma, fruity and spicy character. In the background, except discreetly expressed in tones of dried tobacco recognize the aromas of ripe plums, grapes, figs, marmalade of dark berry fruit, a trace occurs vanilla, carob, roasted almonds and chocolate. The taste is very attractive, soft, rounded and smooth.

Wine with a clear, golden-yellow color with an oily texture. Its bouquet is accentuated, sophisticated. We detect ripe yellow apple, dried persimmon slices, gooseberries. Eventually, scents of bergamot, lemon, dried flowers and marzipan appear. The finish reveals vanilla, cinnamon, a gentle note of cedar, dry autumn leaves, tea tree and Mediterranean herbs. The taste is soft, noticeably warm. Its freshness is youthfull and refreshes our palate for its mineral salinity, and slight perceptions of tannin in the finish. The taste is intense, the wine is elegant, full-bodied and long-lasting, pampering us with a spectrum of ripe fruit and Mediterranean herbs.

The colour is medium deep golden. Restrained, mature nose of medium intensity. There as tendency to keep nosing and nosing this beautiful and very inviting wine and delaying the actual sip. It is reminiscent of ripe yellow juicy fruits and sweet spicy notes cinnamon and cloves. The whole aroma profile is beautifully knit, forming in a luscious web of aromas which act unite, as one. Finesse is the name of the game. Dry on the palate, full bodied with plenty of character and taste, with slightly sweet sensation. Aromatic profile on the palate is opulent, wine isexcelled by a fine, supple texture gently embracing the whole palate. Oak again is meticulously done. With a long elegant finish. If 2017 was delivering tension and persistence, slightly warmer vintage 2018 is bringing us a gentler and more opulent experience. One of the best Triton Lex’s do date. Although very young, it is already prepared to deliver pleasure and is ready to drink now.
