This rum has been laid down in oak barrels for at least 15 years then artfully blended using the Enmore and Diamond Coffey Stills, the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still and the Versailles Single Wooden Pot Still - for you to savour and enjoy.
Tasting Notes:
Full nose packed with dark coffee, candied orange, almonds, dark chocolate, pepper and rich vanilla. Beautifully rounded palate with a great spread of flavours: grilled tropical fruit with smooth oaky spice – silky, vibrant and moderately full-bodied.

Dictador 20 YO is made from the fermentation of virgin sugar cane honey, distilled partly in copper alembic and partly in steel continuous column, to achieve a medium body rum. Intense dark amber colour with red-brown tones. Big on the nose with soft caramel, vanilla, smoky honey, toffee, dry seeds, roasted coffee and a rich rounded oak sensation. In the mouth, it is very soft and round, yet big and full flavoured, with caramel, vanilla, cocoa and roasted honey – a strong and rare texture. Great finish.

Using old casks requires a lifetime of knowledge in the art of blending. When a cask is burned on the inside the result is charred wood that swells and increases the surface area and makes the cask tight. The old casks used for Non Plus Ultra Series are burned longer than usual which means that the blend can penetrate deeper into the wood grain that has never been in contact with alcohol before. The carefully selected rum used in this blend in combination with these matured superior designer casks is the secret to the unique Non Plus Ultra taste.Warm gold color.Nose: Pickled yellow plums with orange peel, heather honey and a slight aromatic burnt note from the oak barrels, shortbread biscuits and a light floral, scented overtone.Taste: The taste of the ripe and aromatic pickled plums dominates the taste, but all the notes from the nose are present. The rich taste tones out very, very gradually.

Deep amber color, slightly cloudy. At first we find tertiary notes, earth, smoke, wood, dried fruit. Nicely decorated, varied. Dry mouth, high acidity, rather tart, surprisingly light body in terms of fullness of taste. Fully ripe, in full form. Medium length. Very unique, good!After the harvest the maceration took place for 4 days (without temperature control, without added yeasts, without clarifications…) with which we allow that a large amount of substances from the skins go into most. Consequence is a very intensive yellow-orange colour with a small haziness and possible sediment which is a result of non-filtering. During two-year maturation in big oak barrels the wine also did naturally the lactic fermentation (as do all our wines). After the bottling the wine was kept in the cellar for another 3 years, before we estimated that the wine is ready for market.
