Dolg opis

The bouquet is restrained, indicating good ripeness. It reveals dark red fruit, black cherries, sour cherries, and oak-aged notes leaning towards coffee. On the palate it is dry, with moderate but well-ripened tannins, so despite the high acidity the wine feels more restrained than most Barberas from Vipava. It shows a pleasant fruit intensity on the palate. Well made and nicely balanced – a very good Barbera.

Nose

Sour cherry and blackberry. The bouquet also reveals mature notes reminiscent of cinnamon, anise, caramel, and plum jam.

Taste

On the palate, it is elegant and velvety, with a long, aromatic finish. It displays a lively character and soft, well-integrated tannins.

Food pairing

Grilled dishes, pasta, roast pork.
