This former Yugoslav country is represented in the wine world by the largest winery on the Balkan Peninsula - 13.jul - Plantaže. Their best-selling wine in our country is vranac, but they are also renowned for other good red wines of a higher price class.
The Montenegrin winegrowing region is located on the southernmost part of the Adriatic coast. The Ćemovsko Polje vineyard is located southeast of Podgorica between the Morača and Cijevna riservs.
It is the largest undivided vineyard in Europe with more than 11,5 million planted vines. In Ćemovsko Polje, they first planted the indigenous vranac, then the indigenous krstač, as well as a wide range of international varieties. Plantaže is the only winery that produced wine from the indigenous krstač variety.

It was named after the eponymous native white variety Krstač, which has grown in the vineyards of Podgorica from ancient times. This variety has a specific berry size and form which resembles a cross, after which it got its name.Wine of light golden color with green reflection. The fruity aroma of peach and pear. Top quality red wine obtained from cabernet sauvignon and merlot grapes, from Ćemovsko polje. The wine has an intense ruby red color. The aroma is layered, fruity with hints of sweet root and hints of coffee and chocolate in the background. The taste is full and complex with ripe and juicy tannins.
