The colour of this Malvazija is gentle golden. Gentle on the nose as well, not to dominant. There is plenty of ripe juicy yellow fruits, ripe apricots and hints of tropical fruits. Quite ripe. Dry on the palate, with moderate acidities and medium bodied, even slightly salty. Fruit character on the palate seems to be significantly more diverse than on the nose, showing extra layers of dried Mediterranean herbs and spices.
Not too different from 2018 which also excelled on the palate. Although this is our entry level Malvasia Istriana there is plenty of character, varietal typicity and nice range of scents. The finish very pleasant, diminishing slowly.

This wine is a selection of the smallest berries that ripen in our warmest locations. The wine has a strong texture and a high concentration of sweet extract.The wine is a gentle pink color. The bouquet is medium accentuated, sophisticated. In addition to fruit notes (raspberry), we also find floral ones. Dry wine of higher acids and medium body with a nice fruity aroma that is quite varied. With a longer aftertaste. Very nice rose.

Colnar Rosé consists of 50% Blue Franconian and 50% Pinot Noir. Short cold maceration gives it a beautiful salmon color, while prolonged fermentation preserves fruitiness, high aroma and long aftertaste. You can smell the aromas of raspberry, citrus and jasmine in the glass. It goes very well in combination with shrimp, lobster, sushi or strawberries. In 2019, we received 96 points (out of 100) at the international Decanter wine evaluation in London for Rosé, thus ranking among the 5 highest rated rose wines in the world.
