Puligny Montrachet and Chassagne Montrachet are at the center of the four villages comprising the part of the Côte de Beaune region known as the Côte des Blancs (Meursault, Blagny, Chassagne and Puligny). This area received this name for the quality and royalty of its white wines.
The vineyard is exposed to the sun from the east, and sits on a terroir composed of chalky soil. It is also the largest of the five Grands Crus.
Grapes are harvested by hand and put in small cases in order not to damage the fruits. Grapes are pressed softly, and they ferment in oak barrels. Aging usually lasts 15 months on fine lies before bottling.

Deep shade of yellow with ambery tones. An intriguing play of rose, straw, fruit compote, dried fruit, spaciness, all in perfect harmony, treasuring an unforetold story of wine.Close to red wine tones, minerally with quite a strong feel of smoke. A firm and full body is beautifully rounded by the intense mineral character. The finish is long and pure, inviting “more”. Nature’s masterpiece with the distinct Batič wine elegance.

On the nose the wine expresses pleasant fruity character. On the palate you can find elegant combination of intense flavour and lovely gentle acid. The wine has beautiful ruby colour.Pinot Noir is one of the oldest varieties, having been described by the Roman writer, Pliny. It originates from Burgundy, where it is the most widespread red variety. It is also the basis for many prestigious Champagnes. It is a very demanding variety both to grow and to make well. It requires light, airy, well-drained soil in the best sites and the most meticulous approach from the winegrower. In view of this, Verus decided to include the Pinot Noir as the only red variety in their palette of wines. Verus first planted it in 2009 in Ivanjkovci and then in Jeruzalem in 2012.Verus’ first Pinot Noir is from 2011. Despite the young age of the vineyard, due to the low crop weight per vine and a good autumn, Verus were able to produce a beautiful ruby red wine with a bouquet reminiscent of raspberries, strawberries, cherries and redcurrant, followed by a full-bodied and mature flavour showing nuances of all these fruits.

It is a deep ruby color, dry, stronger wine, full of flavor, with a velvety texture, intense character, the tannins are already pleasantly rounded. In the mouth we get black fruit, forest undergrowth also jam, at the end leather. Long, still very young and very good.

Of intense ruby red colour with fiery nuances at the edge of the glass and with large tears of wine. Close your eyes and smell the glass thinking about all kinds of red fruits in all kinds of shapes. The complex and clear aromas are intoxicating.
