The wine is a gentle golden yellow color. The bouquet is youthful, pleasant, just right intense. It smells of elderflowers, tropical fruits, lemons, limes, even spicy. In the mouth dry, with a rich texture, salty, moderate acids and a stronger body.Classic harvest towards the end of August, short, a few hours of maceration, pressing and 21 days of temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel containers. After the flow, the wine matured in stainless steel containers with stirring - bâtonnage (three times a week - half a year) for the next 9 months.
This wine is a unique blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio. A ripe, fruity, zesty winewith aromas of passion fruit, citrus and red apple, with a long, mouthwatering finish. Pairs well with white meat, fish and salads, especially asparagus. Also excellent as an aperitif.
Colnar Rosé consists of 50% Blue Franconian and 50% Pinot Noir. Short cold maceration gives it a beautiful salmon color, while prolonged fermentation preserves fruitiness, high aroma and long aftertaste. You can smell the aromas of raspberry, citrus and jasmine in the glass. It goes very well in combination with shrimp, lobster, sushi or strawberries. In 2019, we received 96 points (out of 100) at the international Decanter wine evaluation in London for Rosé, thus ranking among the 5 highest rated rose wines in the world.
