Sauvignonasse is one of the oldest as well as most widely planted varieties in the region of Goriška Brda and also Friuli-Venezia Giulia across the border. In the Goriška Brda, it is generally planted on mid- and low-lying sites, giving wines with a rich stricture and plentiful aromas. The intensive minerality is characteristic of wines made in this region. Sauvignonasse was in the past mostly used to make table wine, but today, it is able to develop the full potential of the terroir. The colour is medium deep golden with a nice brilliance. Though young it is already open on the nose as well as compact, unite. White blossom, meadow flowers, wet stone and some ripe yellow fruits are present. A gentle presence of honey shows a bit of development, dried herbs in the back are hinting at the Sauvignonasse grape variety. Very dry and full bodied, with moderate but balanced acidities. Intense fruit character with plenty of character. Long, slightly “salty” finish. Youthful, bit rough now but already tasteful.

Pinot Gris is of light yellow colour. It has a discrete smell, with a distinctive smell of lemon peel and baked almonds. In the mouth the wine is dry and has a pleasant acidity. The vine is of a strong character with a medium-long after taste.
