Cerequio is an amphitheater of vines on the Langhe terrace, in the municipality of La Morra.
Its soil made of sand (20%), loam (50%), and clay (30%) produces tannic, solid-bodied, and powerful wines. The vineyard is located at a height of about 320 m (1050 ft.) a.s.l. and has an eastward sun exposure. The olfactory bouquet of this cru is rich and complex: the dominating scents are cherry, violet, and balsamic notes, as well as refined hints of vanilla, liquorish, dried rose, and tar.

Ruby red color with slight violet shades. Aromas of red fruits such as redcurrant, cherry, fresh sour cherries. The wine is fresh, pleasant and slightly tannic on the palate.Separate harvest of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot in search of optimal ripeness of grapes. This is followed by maceration with the duration of fermentation, pressing and flowing into wooden oak barrels (225l) from various French oaks, where the wine matured during mixing - bâtonnage (three times a week in the first year of maturation) for 30 months. Unfiltered filling and additional maturation in the bottle.

The wine represents Movia in its essence, expressing elegance and complexity. The Great Red is composed of Merlot, which provides the backbone and the character of the wine, Cabernet Sauvignon, which takes care of the aroma, and Pinot Noir, which brings elegance and conjures special tastes.Its aromas are intense, luxurious. We detect black berries, black currants, amarena cherries, ripe plums and red roses. Soon we notice buttery scents, which are interlaced with perceptions of sweet spices, and the combination reminds us of plum tart. With time, notes of cedar, carob and chocolate express, and the finish reveals a slight touch of eucalyptus and smoke.The mouthfeel is majestic. We sense softness, alcohols are well integrated into the structure. Its freshness is emphasized indicating its youthful character that is confirmed by velvety tannins.
