Diplomático Ambassador rum is an exquisite rum crafted from the distillery’s best rum reserves. After a minimum of twelve years of aging in white oak casks, until optimal maturity is achieved, the rums are aged for two additional years in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, contributing to Ambassador’s complex sensory profile.
This incomparable rum features aromas reminiscent of port wine, dried fruits and cigar boxes. It is complex on the palate with cinnamon, nutmeg and toasted oak notes leading onto a long, pleasing aftertaste.

Using old casks requires a lifetime of knowledge in the art of blending. When a cask is burned on the inside the result is charred wood that swells and increases the surface area and makes the cask tight. The old casks used for Non Plus Ultra Series are burned longer than usual which means that the blend can penetrate deeper into the wood grain that has never been in contact with alcohol before. The carefully selected rum used in this blend in combination with these matured superior designer casks is the secret to the unique Non Plus Ultra taste.Warm gold color.Nose: Pickled yellow plums with orange peel, heather honey and a slight aromatic burnt note from the oak barrels, shortbread biscuits and a light floral, scented overtone.Taste: The taste of the ripe and aromatic pickled plums dominates the taste, but all the notes from the nose are present. Ron Zacapa Royal is produced in Guatemala. Master blender Lorena Vasquez uses Virgin Sugarcane Honey, a particularly high-quality by-product of sugar cane processing, as is customary for local rum. This "honey" is fermented with yeast for 120 hours and then distilled in a column still. Ron Zacapa Royal is triple matured. This means that he spends his 30 years maturing in three different types of barrels - at an altitude of over 2,300 metres in the mountains of Guatemala. The rum spends most of its time in bourbon and sherry barrels, maturing takes place using the tried and tested Solera system. Finally, he spends some time in "Le Bois du Roy" barrels, which are made of very valuable and highly protected wood from four previously royal forests in France.

Ruby red with a translucent edge and pronounced density, which is indicated by thick tears that slowly sleep along the walls of the glass.Its aromas are intense and express a wide range of mature perceptions. Cherry, blackberry, black cherry, and plum, intertwined with perceptions of violets and red roses. Followed by a slight perception of smoke, which develops into a scent of cedar, eucalyptus, even wood. Over time, vanilla and licorice appear, with cloves in the background. The finish is marked by forest undergrowth, leather, and yellow tobacco.The wine is soft, broad, and joyful. Youthful acidity refreshes our mouths leaving them to a velvety tannin grip. A wine of character and intensity, noble elegance with a long aftertaste. Flavors of black cherries, ripe plums, dried red flowers, and sweet spices expresses on the palate for a long time.A powerful wine that already offers us plenty of pleasure but will continue to develop its potential and elegance at least in the next decade. A wine for long distances, complex, and will be a great accompaniment to complex meat or venison dishes, which have been enriched with various reductions that concentrated the flavors of fruit and umami. Its fruitiness will be an ally here, and at the same time tannins will be pleasantly combined with the juiciness of the plate. A wine for haut cuisine!
