Name:
Doss refers to a small hill around the village of Cortina s.s.d. Vino which was often under water and therefore often called “Little Venice”. This hill – which was formed by these floods – is one of the most important areas for Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio in the Bassa Attesina region. In contrast to the rest of the region and due to the soil structure, the area is almost exclusively planted with vines instead of apple trees.
Label:
The label shows one of the oldest vines in South Tyrol, which were traditionally planted for important occasions. This vine is about 270 years old and is located right next to our Chardonnay vineyards.

Wine from three vineyards where merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc grow. What they have in common is an extremely mineral base in extremely warm locations.The wine is ruby red.Compact bouquet. Smell of black currant, blueberry, oak, smoke.In the mouth, the wine is dry, with moderate acidity and an intense taste. The tannins are soft and ripe. The wine has a strong body. The aftertaste is long.
