The name „Vom Stein“ refers to the soil structure of the vineyards of this Pinot Bianco. Their soil is dominated by dolomite limestone which give this wine its fine structure, elegance and freshness.
Beside Gewürztraminer and Sauvignon the grape variety Pinot Bianco is one of the most important varieties for South Tyrol.
