he wine is ruby red colour and thick. The smell is intensive, very fine and rich. We can sense the smell of ripe red fruit and berries ( Morella cherry, blackberry, blueberry, dried plums, and jam). It tastes dry, warm and soft, pretty fresh, tannic and tasty, balanced, intensive, elegant and durable, harmonic, strong and ripe.The wine is ripe and good to drink, but in years it will gain the harmony and drinkability. It will achieve its best after 10 years.

A deviation from classic style of fresh Sauvignons, primary aromas are of secondary importance. In our house, we see it as concrete, complex wine; the character of Sauvignon Blanc is less expressed although it is clear and recognizable. It shows its best after a few years, when it gains complexity. Sauvignon Blanc that grows in the Goriška Brda soil is often concentrated, which allows freedom in shaping its structure and body. Rather than grassy notes, we perceive apricots and white peaches, also some smoky notes, which are a result of oak ageing. On the palate, it offers even more character than on the nose.The colour is medium deep golden. Slightly closed on the nose at first but then opens and gets opulent. This is not a Sauvignon Blanc in style of various primary tropical fruits, but rather in a riper, fuller style with a restrained, but complex aromatic profile. Gooseberries, peaches, wet stone, buer.Dry on the palate, intense, full bodied with a good amount of ripe acidities. Oily texture with in intense and persistent flavour. A savoury Sauvignon Blanc which requires a well-chosen main dish. Can this one be compared with world classics? Hardly. Maybe it is close to Fumé Blanc from Napa but in fact it is in a style of its own, faithful Sauvignon Blanc from Brda. Edi’s!

Deep amber color, slightly cloudy. At first we find tertiary notes, earth, smoke, wood, dried fruit. Nicely decorated, varied. Dry mouth, high acidity, rather tart, surprisingly light body in terms of fullness of taste. Fully ripe, in full form. Medium length. Very unique, good!After the harvest the maceration took place for 4 days (without temperature control, without added yeasts, without clarifications…) with which we allow that a large amount of substances from the skins go into most. Consequence is a very intensive yellow-orange colour with a small haziness and possible sediment which is a result of non-filtering. During two-year maturation in big oak barrels the wine also did naturally the lactic fermentation (as do all our wines). After the bottling the wine was kept in the cellar for another 3 years, before we estimated that the wine is ready for market.
