This noble Alsatian Riesling is grown on blue schist soil and the grapes undergo a relatively long pressing before fermentation using indigenous yeasts. The domaine then favours a partial malolactic fermentation before maturing for 10 months in large casks on fine lees. You find prune, mint and ripe citrus fruit (lemon, orange and grapefruit) notes on the nose, preceding a lively palate with a chiselled minerality and impeccably sustained finish.
Very round and rich wine. An elegant balance, with a light bitterness at the end. Very ripe white fruit aromas (peach and apricot). Beautiful length in mouth and a huge complexity. According to the vintage, the wine can be kept from 30 to 60 years.
Northern exposure. Heavier soil structure, opoka mixed with clay. A litle cooler vineyard - impact of northern wind. A lot of water in the terrain, never stressed in a dry periods. Planted 1987.Intense, almost deep golden-yellow colour. The nose is intense yet not overpowering, which can quickly affect a Sauvignon Blanc, rather it is mature and juicy, revealing ripe grapes grown in a moderate climate. Structured, reminiscent of gooseberry, white peach, hay, ripe tomato, a sliver of orange peel. The sensations all come together through fine, discreet notes, telling the story of ageing in oak.Dry on the palate, gentle acidity that nicely balances out and grounds its full body. The texture is oily, and despite a higher alcohol content, creates a pleasant tension serving up a luxurious aromatic profile. The taste lingers with a long, salty, dramatic finish.

Lasanta Glenmorangie is a delicate and fruity spirit. It is matured in bourbon and sherry casks for 12 years, transforming it into a mouth-watering odyssey bursting with rich spiciness and sun-drenched sweetness. It radiates with raisins, honeycomb and chocolate-covered hazelnuts lightened by cinnamon breezes. Plum and baking spice supported by milk chocolate raisin, caramel and toasty oak on the nose. Palate has a dash of tart raspberry coulis leads into a generous helping of sherried dried fruit, with orange marmalade, toasted nuts and berry jam. Sweeter notes of brown sugar and cereal notes appear. Finish is silky and long, with oily orange peel, cinnamon and hazelnut praline, rounded off by bitter dark chocolate.
