The idea of Triton is to make a pleasurable wine with a somewhat more diverse aroma profile. An attractive wine, yet more firm, by no means light. The blend of varieties is always different. It is based on Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc (70%).
The rest consists of either Pinot Gris or Pinot Blanc, depending on the vintage. Chardonnay provides the structure, Sauvignon Blanc its freshness, fragrance and grassy notes, Pinot Gris adds spice and elegance, while Pinot Blanc soothes it.
The colour is golden, medium deep. Quite gentle on the nose, nicely open and ripe. Fruity notes like ripe peaches are dominant, including touch of sweet spices like cinnamon. Dry on the palate, with oily texture, and pleasant feel. Though alcohol levels are moderate, it is obvious that it was made from fully ripe grapes.
Aromatic complexity on the palate is even greater than on the nose. Enjoyable on the nose, enjoyable on the palate with enjoyable texture feeling. In top condition now. Rounded with an agreeable longer finish.

This is a classic blend sourced from several sites in the southern Rhône. It has been named in honour of Léon Perdigal, the first cellarmaster at Ogier's now famous cellars, when they were founded in 1859 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The nose has intense aromas of red fruits and spice, with subtle pepper and garrigue notes. The spice-tinged red fruits continue on the palate, which is medium-bodied and has a pleasing length.

The minerals and tone of the Brda soil are detected in the wine with a rich taste. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir make up a third of the wine. The wine was refined for two years in 500 L oak barrels. Tannins appropriately expressed with a strongly rounded body.
