Despite the passing years, it offers a deep violet-ruby color. The bouquet is somewhat restrained but lively. Primary notes abound: cherries, blackcurrants, subtle hints of oak and smoke. In the mouth, it doesn't back down and showcases the characteristic high acidity of the variety, plenty of acidity, some additional notes of new wood, and above all, abundant structure and texture that will carry it far into the future. It is still very young, with a long finish.

Produced by Damilano since 2008, Barbera d’Asti represents a new viticultural challenge: growing the most important native varietal in Piedmont.The production of Barbera d’Asti is the fruit of a recent rental agreement which grants Damilano vineyard management rights over a 11 hectare vineyard in Casorzo in the province of Asti, an area in which Barbera has been grown since the 1800s.This 100% Barbera wine is produced from a Monferrato vineyard that is 20 to 30 years old. The soil contains white marl and tends to be calcareous.This wine has a red color with intense purple tones and a fruit nose with light spice notes. It has a persistent flavor reminiscent of currants, violets, cherries and vanilla.

Pale yellow with green undertones. The nose is extremely complex; the scent of flowering hawthorn predominates, followed by fruit; passion pineapple, vine white peach and melon. The smell of real Istrian Malvasia. We can also smell the sweet smell of vanilla.In the mouth it is nicely rounded, of medium body. Pleasant fresh, fruity and crunchy. The aftertaste remains the taste of mandarins, melons, grapefruits and lemons with a hint of caramel. The wine is extremely mineral.
