The wine is initially fragrant, almost fruity, with a gentle measure of balsamic notes, which can quickly become dominant with longer macerations of white wines.

Vinification
Grapes are desteemed and put in vinificator with skins where the fermentation begins with indigenous yeasts. After 10 days of maceration, grapes are then pressed and racked into the barrique barrels.

This deep yellow coloured wine rewards us with aromas reminiscent of honey, raisins, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and walnuts. Taste is full with extra fullness being supported by the sugar. Wine is definitely made for lovers of sweeter wines, as the acidity has difficulty supporting such a high amount of residual sugar.

Metlika black (Metliška črnina) PTP is a wine produced from blue Franconian, Velvety black (Žametna črnina) and Portugieser. The wine is distinguished by drinkability, lightness and traditional recognition. It is medium deep purple in color. The scent is fruity, fresh and playful after the red fruits. Dry and very drinkable wine to taste.
