Esprit Gassier makes reference to the outstanding terroir of the Sainte-Victoire. It reflects a state of mind that will accompany you throughout the sunny days and continue to charm you when the night falls. Stylish and laidback, Esprit Gassier offers a glimpse into the bohemian lifestyle. Esprit Gassier is made from a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle. This Côtes de Provence from the Sainte-Victoire is vinified using direct pressing and fermentation at low temperatures in order to preserve the aromas in the fruit. Esprit Gassier reveals a light pink hue and notes of peach combined with delicate aromas of white flowers and white fruits.

The wine Alfonz was created in memory of the grandfather, his knowledge, tradition, and the family that exactly 100 years ago (in 1923) purchased the first 2 hectares of vineyard from Count Teuffenbach and produced their first own wine. We incorporate the traditional winemaking methods from that time and a modern stylization, which give the wine its distinctiveness, vibrancy, and liveliness – a true proof and stamp of the terroir. The grapes were grown according to high environmental standards, hand-harvested exclusively, and processed into wine using technologies with a low environmental footprint.Vinification: Immediately after harvesting the technologically ripe grapes, they were roasted, crushed, and cooled to 8°C before being transferred to a fermentation vessel, where cold maceration took place for 5 days. The grapes were then gently pressed, and the must was transferred into stainless steel tanks, where controlled fermentation occurred at 16°C. After the fermentation was completed, the wine aged in the tanks for an additional 12 months.

On the nose the wine expresses pleasant fruity character. On the palate you can find elegant combination of intense flavour and lovely gentle acid. The wine has beautiful ruby colour.Pinot Noir is one of the oldest varieties, having been described by the Roman writer, Pliny. It originates from Burgundy, where it is the most widespread red variety. It is also the basis for many prestigious Champagnes. It is a very demanding variety both to grow and to make well. It requires light, airy, well-drained soil in the best sites and the most meticulous approach from the winegrower. In view of this, Verus decided to include the Pinot Noir as the only red variety in their palette of wines. Verus first planted it in 2009 in Ivanjkovci and then in Jeruzalem in 2012.Verus’ first Pinot Noir is from 2011. Despite the young age of the vineyard, due to the low crop weight per vine and a good autumn, Verus were able to produce a beautiful ruby red wine with a bouquet reminiscent of raspberries, strawberries, cherries and redcurrant, followed by a full-bodied and mature flavour showing nuances of all these fruits.
