Although Châteauneuf du Pape wines are well-known today, in particular for their great red wines (95% of the appellation) mainly from Grenache Noir varieties, connoisseurs will recognise in the white wines all the signs of a great 'terroir'. Two limestone plots at the Terroirs du Clos are kept for a wine whose uniqueness has no equal with regard to its delicacy, which will seduce palates that are seeking freshness and minerality.
This wine provides a masterclass in how to bring three historic varieties together with a subtlety and grace which belies the warmth of the wine’s origins. The wine is generous without clumsiness and delicate yet ripe acidity and faintly bitter.

Grapes are first carefully de-stemmed and then each variety fermentsseparately for 11 days. Tempranillo ferments in stainless steel and CabernetSauvignon and Graciano in small oak vats. Pumping over and delestage (rack-and-return) operations are carried out on a daily basis.A selection of the best fruit available from our old 9-hectare (22-acres) single vineyard called Canajas plot, located at 465 metres above sea level. Its soil ismainly iron-clay, with a stony topsoil, which favours optimal ripening. After veraison, crop-thinning is carried out, selecting bunches with small berries in order to limit production up to 1 kilogram per vine.The nose is defined by deep ripe black fruit with hints of black spices, balsamic and mineral aromas. Full-bodied, juicy tannins and endless spicy finish. Powerful, round and solid.

The color is deep, ruby, we still find shades of purple. The bouquet is very intense and reminds of overripe, dried fruits, jam, leather, gum, even chocolate and mushrooms. In the mouth, the wine is sweeter, moderately acidic and a stronger body. Slightly robust, fully mature, medium aftertaste. Beautiful karst redness.
