Ruby-red color with purple hues. Fruity notes are reminiscent of ripe blackberries and blueberries, cloves, dry tobacco leaves. Full body, generous taste, fruity with strong tannins, long and strong decline.Very complex, reminiscent of elderberry, green pepper and pepper. The taste is fresh and juicy, the wine is beautiful rounded, moderately aromatic and with a long decline.Young vintage goes well with venison, even feathered, cheese with noble mold,desserts with chocolate, coffee, walnuts, cinnamon, caramel. More than 20 years old can be accompanied by more gentle ones dishes, even fish, and many original recipes (cod in béchamel, partridge with grapes, pheasant with fois gras).IVintage porto is great at the age of up to seven, between the ages of seven and ten it goes through transformation, is good again after 10 years.

A deviation from classic style of fresh Sauvignons, primary aromas are of secondary importance. In our house, we see it as concrete, complex wine; the character of Sauvignon Blanc is less expressed although it is clear and recognizable. It shows its best after a few years, when it gains complexity. Sauvignon Blanc that grows in the Goriška Brda soil is often concentrated, which allows freedom in shaping its structure and body. Rather than grassy notes, we perceive apricots and white peaches, also some smoky notes, which are a result of oak ageing. On the palate, it offers even more character than on the nose.The colour is medium deep golden. Slightly closed on the nose at first but then opens and gets opulent. This is not a Sauvignon Blanc in style of various primary tropical fruits, but rather in a riper, fuller style with a restrained, but complex aromatic profile. Gooseberries, peaches, wet stone, buer.Dry on the palate, intense, full bodied with a good amount of ripe acidities. Oily texture with in intense and persistent flavour. A savoury Sauvignon Blanc which requires a well-chosen main dish. Can this one be compared with world classics? Hardly. Maybe it is close to Fumé Blanc from Napa but in fact it is in a style of its own, faithful Sauvignon Blanc from Brda. Edi’s!
